This morning's news brought with it the proclamation that 'pot' is now legal and for sale here in the Great Sovereign State of Colorado. The pictures attached to the news articles show lines circling the buildings of people waiting to pay four times the price of pot purchased on the street. These sub-morons are so giddy about their victory over the 'oppressive system' they have been living in for so many years that they willingly give their names and tidbits about their personal history to those reporting on this development.
Here's a little bit of information about pot that I find perplexing. It costs no more to grow pot today than forty years ago, as a matter of fact it's highly likely that it's much less considering the mass production techniques-cultivation-harvesting-processing-shipping etc-that the Cartels have employed.
A sandwich bag of pot back then was called a 'lid'(I haven't smoked pot in so long I don't know if the name has changed and personally don't care) and a 'lid' or 'can' was approximately 1oz or 28.3495231 grams in weight and the cost was about $20.00. Maybe not as strong as today but it got the job done, so where has all of the added cost come from. Sure the government is taxing the daylights out of it but that doesn't even come close to bringing the price up to these levels.
So here's what so great about all of the 'Rocket Scientists' pictured above. If street pot which is approximately one quarter, 1/4, 25%, .25, 25 100ths of the cost of the pot sold in the 'Recreational pot shops', why are they laying down their hard earned welfare, unemployment, disability checks, paychecks from their fast food jobs etc, etc when they can get the same or better product on the corner where they live? And other than the opportunity to stand outside in the freezing cold and commiserate or as these elitists probably put it 'conversate' with the socially elite pictured above, I don't get it and it's fine because they make it easier for the non drug addled to move up in the world.
Then again maybe it's social responsibility that drives these dudes to do what it they do, some of the tax money is supposed to go to supporting the schools in Colorado which in itself sends a pathetic message to the students, but remember this is the 'pothead' state. So in the end I guess it's OK because it's all part of the plan to create a sub-class of mindless idiots out of touch with any form of reality.

The Obama people are back in deflecting mode this weekend.
The Obama administration is back at gun control this weekend in an effort to deflect all of the other bad publicity it's been gathering around the world to their catch all cause-gun control. Gun control is one of the easiest ways for these people to rally their knee jerk supporters and get them off of their pot smoking butts and hopefully distract them from the real issues that really affect the American people. I can't place all of the blame for not 'doing the right thing' on the Obama people though, equal amounts of the blame must be spread over Bush I, Clinton, Bush II and the current occupant of the White House, President Obama, when it comes to the real issues which is the much needed overhaul of the Mental Health System for starters and then coming in a distant second, third, fourth or maybe even further back place, the enforcement of existing laws governing guns. What none of the aforementioned rocket scientists turned politicians appear to have figured out is that all of the gun issues that make the main stream media are caused by NUTS. And by NUTS I mean individuals that should have been institutionalized and not out on the streets to begin with. Go back to Columbine, Tucson, New Town, Aurora and the Navy Yard just to name a few and what is the common denominator in all of these-the shooters were certified NUTS and for some strange reason whoever is occupying the White House at whatever given time refuses to address this pressing issue. This mess, in case you are to young to remember was caused by our very government when they took most of the funding away from the mental health system which caused it to shut down putting many out on the streets that should not be there. Thank your elected officials for this nightmare.

Wake up America, you're giving up one of our basic Rights that made us great.
I have read several articles in the past few weeks that have, to say the least, made my blood boil. All have been directed at free speech, one of the basic Rights Americans have had since the founding of this great country and one that is slowly being eroded before our very eyes. Whether the HS teacher in NC or SC, whichever, that scolded her student telling him that it was illegal to criticize President Obama, the government coming out with the list of words that will get you investigated or at least looked at very closely or the douche bag HS administrators and police that penalize and arrest students and parents for expressing their pride in the accomplishments of their children at graduations in the form of loud cheers.
It all adds up to an erosion of FREE SPEECH and as the old saying goes, It ain't gonna get better as time goes on, it will only get worse. And the culprit behind this is the Social Engineering crowd, you know the ones that want to categorize and classify your children when they are in grammar school and before if possible so their 'bright' futures are etched in stone almost from the cradle. The ones that are telling us that most of us all have some mental malady and we should all be on some type of medication to help 'regulate' our emotions and skew our view of reality, in other words make the ragged ass masses easier to control while the elected elite and their minions dismantle our democracy and convert this great country into 'their' Socialist utopia.
If this isn't a wake up call I don't know what is.

Thirty years ago we blew it in Iran. You would think the morons in Washington would have learned something from that costly lesson, apparently not!
To hear the media and our elected officials one would think that this mess in Egypt crept up on the world in a most stealthy fashion. The media from the left to the right are all doing their unholy best to make it look as though we, The United States, had nothing to do with this catastrophe when in fact we had an opportunity to make real headway in the Muslim world over the last thirty years. But, as the casual observer can readily make out from his or her couch that was not destined to happen, we rode with the wrong horse by failing miserably to influence the leadership in Egypt to take the right path dating back to the time, the soon to be former strong man and his cronies, took control of the country.
Our politicians from the local level to the highest office in the land have performed their usual cheesy nationally televised stage act by turning on the soon to be ousted despot, in this case Mubarak, and denouncing his sometimes brutal regime saying 'it's time to go' he's a bad leader and in the process use the excuse that we told him time and again that he needed to be more sensitive to the needs of his countrymen. What the politicians fail to tell us when they are running off at the mouth on every available media outlet is that we dumped billions every year into Egypt and only had to use the proverbial stick and carrot to make Mubarak and his guys tow the line, just a little, we held the purse strings what's wrong with this picture.
We kept this crook in power by training and equipping his Army, giving aid for public works projects, education and whatever else. One can only guess how much other training and aid we duked this douche bag to build a stable nation. So what is the prognosis for Egypt, no really good no matter what the outcome. We have the Muslim Brotherhood, the most well organized protest and 'political' group in the country, which is a terrorist organization dedicated to creating a Theocracy in the same vein as Iran. There are some fragmented groups of educated, some more fragmented groups of uneducated and basically ignorant that will be led down the path by the highly sophisticated Muslim brotherhood and the smallest group, the Christians, who will be slaughtered systematically if the fundamentalists grab control. Then there is the military who hopefully will grab temporary control and set up elections blocking the 'brotherhood' and their ilk in a similar manner to Algeria.
Whatever happens it's about time that the American people demand that out 'elected' become students of HISTORY, spend less time in the capitol bar getting drunk and trying to pork their male and female pages and maybe disasters like this can be avoided in the future.

Vice President Biden announces how we are going to beat the Taliban, click our heels together and say Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!
I was watching the news this morning when they ran a clip of Vice President Biden on Meet The Press, or some other nationally broadcast news 'show' like that, being questioned about the war in Afghanistan. Sporting his usual authoritative rhetoric he proceeded to tell the inquisitor, Mr Gregory, the following. We are winning on all fronts in the war in Afghanistan, really now, and when did this come about. Why just a day or two ago there was some General on and it may have even been General Petraeus who stated for the record that we have made great strides in the south of Afghanistan but are having difficulty in other areas as well as the new violence that has been taking place. But we expect things to improve with the surge and the new tactics we are employing.
Then he, VP Biden, proceeded to tell the viewing audience that we were on time with the planned pullout in 2014 and to show how positive he is he stated it would not be a 'token' pullout but we would be turning the entire mess over to the Afghan Army and they would be fully capable to handle anything that comes their way. Again, what door was this guy standing behind when brains were being handed out, or is he just out there acting as his boss' mouthpiece while that wily Barack Obama tries to remake his image in an effort to get ready for a second run at the White House? I'd say a lot of both!
After listening to Mr. Biden spilling our exit strategy to the Taliban and Al-Qaeda for the umpteenth time, I decided to put myself in the sandals of some Taliban planner and see what I could come up with in less than five minutes. Knowing that the U.S. plans to leave in 2014 I would do the following; 1. Keep a little pressure in the form of small attacks, disinformation and an occasional suicide bomber on the US, Afghan forces and Afghan people so they don't get the impression that I'm just laying back waiting for the US forces to leave so I can march into Kabul and take over. 2. I would have my forces begin to infiltrate the armed forces and police throughout Afghanistan so when the U.S. does pull out it will be easy to cause all out chaos through subversion of the forces and all out terrorism. 3. I'd start the peace talks that crooked Karzai wants to have with the Taliban so I could get a good idea of how this corrupt despot runs things and to see if he would be willing to cut me in on the action which would provide funding for my movement.
What are these guys thinking? It doesn't take the the Rand Corporation or any of the other God knows how many useless think tanks in Washington to see that this whole thing is a crap shoot at best. When are our politicians going to let the military fight the wars that they get us into, I can guarantee if they did there would be significantly fewer losses and the wars would be over much more quickly.

I like Michael Steele and hope he gets the nod for a second term as Republican Party Chairman, he delivered!
I have a particular liking for Michael Steele the current Chairman of the Republican Party. There was a blurb today that he has given notice to the 168 stiffs that make up the Republican National Committee that he wants to run for a second term and from just the results of this last election he should get the job, however there is one sticking point and that is he is not considered an insider, and that may pose some problems for him.
Mr. Steele managed to bridge the 'gap' with the Tea Party and the Republican Party and essentially helped to bring about the landslide election that recently took place, I am also, of the opinion that he will be able to duplicate these result in the upcoming 2012 elections if he is allowed to stay in his office. If the old guard that make up the RNC put one of their own into the job Mr. Steele currently holds I don't believe their results will more than likely not turn out nearly as well if only for the reason that Mr. Steele was fairly received by the people that make up the Tea Party and the rank and file membership of the Republican party as well.
There are a couple of old Bush administration people being tossed about for the job as well as an ambassador and several other Republican stalwarts but based on Steele's track record it seem foolish to me that anyone would would do anything that might possibly stall the current momentum that conservative has managed to create.
Part of his message to the RNC was "Our work is not done, and my commitment has not ended". As I believe very little that any politician says and also believe most to be insincere weasels I do believe him, well 50% anyway and that's a rock solid endorsement in my book.

Obama's Surgeon General Regina Benjamin issues her first report on smoking and shows she's as much of a BS artist as her boss!
I'm as much against smoking as the next guy but I refuse to infringe on any ones rights and that includes the right of an individual to choose to smoke cigarettes, cigars (which I loved to smoke a couple of times a year, oh what I would give to be able to enjoy an H Upmann Corona, and had to give up when I contracted lung disease in China several years back), pipes, hookahs, corn silk and even 'the pipe' if he or she can get the person to sit still so they can light it.
There has been more research done on smoking in the last thirty years than ever should have been. There have been more warnings given, laws passed, age limits imposed, excessive taxes levied constantly and even testimonials from the grave (reference; Yul Brenner) as to why we shouldn't and the inherent evils associated with the tobacco habit. And after all that people keep on smoking. So what do you think the effect of a phony study and a pronouncement from a second rate physician catapulted to the ungodly high position of Surgeon General are going to have on America at large, the answer is nothing and if anything more will take up the habit.
Earlier this week there was a report from the White House and then a comment from the Presidents Press Secretary Robert Gibbs (aka, Mrs. Doubtfire) that the President has managed to beat the smoking habit since March of this year although he would not confirm that 100% which in politispeak that no one has ratted the liar out so far.
There was a real report that came out about ten years ago from a government office that stated that the loss of tax revenues and the burden on the retirement system because smokers have a tendency to die at a much earlier age than those who do not, and proves that the anti tobacco people and the government's assault on smoking have been counterproductive to the economy. The report went on to state that even with the increase in deceases like lung cancer and emphysema with unabated smoking it was still more economical to allow the full use of tobacco as the costs were still offset because there was still less burden on the system. Apparently all of our legislators were in the smoking lounge when this report came out and failed to read it. On the other hand the do-gooders were probably at it again passing rules and regulations that they 'deemed best for the population' and of course without consulting their constituents as usual.
This type of Hitleresque propaganda has been flowing out of the White House like a river during the spring floods for the last two years and hopefully the American people have finally had enough. Though I greatly doubt it, I hope the Dr. Benjamin our Surgeon General is embarrassed from being discredited by this stinker of a report.
Smoke em if you got em!
